“The world that produces the greatest variety of phenomena by the simplest ways.” The model receives an energy budget that refuses any spending beyond it, and a world with multiple verifiable solutions. It must find the most distinct possibles — equivalents are merged — for the least spending. Every gesture has a price: reason short or long, delegate verification to a tool, remember, stop; falsely declaring “sufficient” is penalised. On the same world, a spendthrift agent burns 1,440 units for no possible; a parsimonious agent finds five for 210.
